Details
The PRO 485 is the top of the line wakeboard tower speaker that Wet Sounds offers. Using three-dimensional computer-aided design and advanced acoustical engineering. Wet Sounds developed this product to deliver unprecedented performance levels and sleek aesthetic appeal. The driver compliment is made up of two 8” Wet Sounds EFG drivers and one Wet Sounds HLCD (Horn Loaded Compression Driver). The unique design of the PRO 485 allows you to hear music loud and clear off axis and achieve remarkable throw distances that surpasses 150 feet on axis. With the PRO 485. “Hearing is Believing”. The PRO 485 is available in pairs.
Main Features:
W-DET technology. W-DET is a wide dispersion enhanced throw technology. Unlike most conventional designs, by using the enhanced throw portion of this technology, the PRO 485 provides amazing volume and sound quality out to the rider and beyond. Wet Sounds takes this a step further by incorporating a wide dispersion design. Not only providing the volume and sound quality out to the rider but providing a widely dispersed sound field that can be heard even while outside of the wake.
The driver compliment in the PRO 485 combines dual 8-inch Wet Sounds EFG drivers and a center-mounted Wet Sounds HLCD (Horn Loaded Compression Driver) per speaker. The 8-inch midbass drivers are one of the most unique mid bass drivers ever developed. We developed a proprietary cone material called EFG, which is an epoxy fiberglass. Wet Sounds developed this cone material specifically for the PRO series of tower speakers. EFG is used because it is the optimum cone material that provides a light yet rigid cone, resulting in a quick transient response for tight bass, exceptional sound quality, and great resistance to water. Polyurethane is used for the surround to provide a weather resistant surround that will not rot or deteriorate like conventional foam surrounds and is more efficient than typical rubber surrounds.
The high-frequency driver is a wide dispersion HLCD (horn loaded compression driver) This driver was designed to provide a wide horizontal dispersion for all areas behind the boat and not just directly behind the speaker. It is also the most efficient design in high-frequency transducers providing an enormous output with less power.
Extensive crossover network. Wet Sounds developed an advanced crossover network for the PRO 485. Allowing for amazing output to the rider while maintaining exceptional sound quality.
TC-2 Quick Detach Swivel Clamp. The PRO 485 uses two Trick Connect 2 Bracket per speaker. These Trick Connect Brackets are designed to give you the option to fire the speakers forward. For instance, to the rear for music while riding or to be faced forward when the boat is beached. Trick Connect also makes removing the speakers for storage quick and easy. By removing the 2 allen bolts on the side of each clamp, the speaker detaches from the clamp. Allowing you to remove the speaker in a matter of seconds for storage while also providing a solid secure mount.
There are three pieces of the Trick Connect 2 Bracket assembly. The tower clamp that attaches to the tower, the bracket top plate that is attached to the speaker and there are various sizes of rubber inserts to use depending on what size tower pipe you have. The Trick Connect 2 Bracket is a 3-inch Stainless Steel Clamp. The rubber inserts will fit the following towers. (1 5/8", 1 3/4", 2", 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 3")
Available colors are Gloss White or Gloss Black with UV inhibitor.
